They will now participate in the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Earlier, after the 26/11 terror attacks, India banned Pakistani cricketers from the IPL and they were not allowed to enter India. But the ban was lifted and the team played the T20 World Cup in India in 2016. Pakistani artists were also banned in India after the Pulwama attack. None of them were allowed to enter India after those attacks. However, after seven years, the doors have opened for the Pakistan cricket team. It’s a valid question to ask Rahul Dholakia, the director of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, as the doors open for the Pakistan cricket team.
He asked on X (formerly known as Twitter) if he could invite Pakistani artists to India for work. He wrote,” Now that#Pakistani cricketers are officially then, can we invite Pakistani actors to act in our flicks too?Or do musicians have to perform?”
