PHF growth staff Montreal Drive names Peter Smith as first head coach

The Montreal Drive has named Peter Smith the staff’s head coach for its growth season within the Premier Hockey League.

Smith, of Lachine, Que., coached the McGill College Martlets to 4 nationwide college championships throughout his 20 seasons behind their bench.

He was an assistant coach of Canadian girls’s groups that received Olympic gold in 2006 and 2010, and world championship gold in 2007.

Smith was head coach of the staff nationwide staff that took silver in 2008.

The Montreal Drive would be the PHF’s seventh staff and be a part of the Toronto Six as the 2 Canadian golf equipment on the circuit.
